Overview

The GV-SDIREP is an HD-SDI repeater that regenerates and amplifies video signals across extended coaxial cable runs. In HD-SDI installations, signal attenuation becomes critical beyond standard cable distances — the GV-SDIREP addresses this by restoring signal integrity without requiring a system-wide migration to IP cameras or alternative delivery protocols. Compatibility

The GV-SDIREP integrates into any HD-SDI surveillance system using standard 75-ohm coaxial cabling. It works with Geovision HD-SDI cameras and encoders as well as third-party HD-SDI equipment that follows standard BNC connector and signal specifications. Suitable for cascaded repeater configurations across multiple cable segments in large-scale or geographically dispersed deployments.

Installation Notes

Mount the repeater in-line on the coaxial signal path between camera and recorder. Ensure proper BNC termination and grounding at both ends to avoid signal reflection and impedance mismatches. Repeaters can be chained across multiple segments, but each regeneration stage introduces slight processing latency — verify total latency meets your monitoring application requirements before final commissioning. No external power source required; the repeater operates passively on the HD-SDI signal itself.
