Geovision GV-MNFR Mini Face Recognition Panel

The Geovision GV-MNFR is a compact access control panel that combines face recognition, RFID card reading, and intercom capability in a single 3.5" IPS touchscreen unit. Designed for entry points where you need dual authentication without a full-scale access control server, the GV-MNFR handles standalone operation or integrates directly into the GV-ASManager platform for multi-door deployments.

Overview

This panel operates in four authentication modes: face only, face + password, face + card, or face or card—meaning you can enforce strict face verification at high-security entrances or allow card-only fallback at lower-risk zones. The 1 m (3.28 ft) face recognition distance covers typical doorway scenarios. Built-in 850nm IR with LED illumination enables operation in complete darkness; the 0 lux minimum illumination spec means nighttime or interior basement entrances work without external lighting. The touchscreen displays at 320×480 resolution with 74 dB dynamic range—adequate for ID verification but not suitable for high-quality forensic recording. On-device liveness detection (spoof prevention) rejects printed photos or phone-screen spoofs. Capacity: 3,000 face enrollments, 3,000 cards, 9,000 event logs stored locally.

Compatibility

Standalone mode requires only PoE (802.3af) and RJ-45 wiring—no server needed. For multi-door deployments, integrate up to 8 panels via the GV-FWC controller (4-door control) or up to 2 panels via the GV-AS1620 controller (1-door control) into the GV-ASManager platform. The built-in 13.56 MHz ISO 14443A reader pairs with standard proximity cards. Intercom functionality ties to GV-ASManager for operator-visitor two-way audio and remote door unlock—requires network connectivity to the management system.

Installation Notes

Power consumption is 12 W via standard 802.3af PoE—no separate supply needed. Operating range: -20°C to 50°C (-4°F to 122°F), suitable for indoor lobbies and climate-controlled entry vestibules; not rated for outdoor or unheated storage areas. Mounting includes bracket and drill template; dimensions (118 × 114 × 25.1 mm) fit standard wall-mount or recessed cabinet installations. RJ-45 connector for both data and power simplifies wiring in retrofit scenarios.
