Description

Middle Atlantic FSS-18 Fiber Storage Loop

Overview

The Middle Atlantic FSS-18 is a fiber storage loop designed to manage and protect fiber optic cables inside rack enclosures. In structured cabling and AV/security rack builds, unmanaged fiber is a liability — tight bend radii cause signal loss, and loose runs get snagged during maintenance. The FSS-18 provides a dedicated routing point that keeps fiber organized and bend-radius compliant within the enclosure without consuming a full 1U panel slot.

Compatibility

The FSS-18 is designed for use with Middle Atlantic rack enclosures and equipment frames that accept Middle Atlantic accessory mounting. It is intended for installations where fiber patch cables or pigtails require managed routing inside the rack — common in IP video surveillance head-end racks, structured cabling termination bays, and AV integration racks built on Middle Atlantic products.
