The StarTech FOCLEANER is a push-button cleaning cassette designed for field technicians and installers to quickly remove dust, oil, and debris from LC, SC, ST, and FC fiber connectors. This is critical for preventing signal loss, intermittent connections, and potential damage to delicate fiber optic equipment, especially in high-bandwidth data center or telecommunications environments.
Compatibility
This cleaning cassette is compatible with standard LC, SC, ST, and FC fiber optic connector types. It is suitable for use with single-mode and multi-mode fiber patch cords and bulkhead adapters commonly found in enterprise networking, data centers, and telecommunications infrastructure.
Installation Notes
The FOCLEANER utilizes a simple push-button mechanism to advance the cleaning tape and clean the connector end-face. Each cassette provides up to 500 cleaning cycles. It operates within a temperature range of -10°C to 50°C (14°F to 122°F), making it suitable for most indoor installation environments. Storage temperatures range from -40°C to 60°C (-40°F to 140°F).
