Overview

The Pelco EXTE2-QF18-E0A00-1 is a fixed thermal camera designed for critical infrastructure and hazardous locations where standard visual cameras fail. Its uncooled VOx microbolometer sensor provides thermal imaging capabilities, detecting temperature differences to reveal objects and people in complete darkness, fog, smoke, or dust. This unit is specifically suited for applications requiring detection in extreme ambient temperatures, down to -60 °C, and offers robust protection against environmental ingress and hazardous conditions. The 18mm lens provides a specific field of view for detection and situational awareness in challenging industrial or perimeter security scenarios.

Compatibility

This camera is designed to integrate with VMS systems supporting ONVIF Profiles S, T, G, and M. It streams video using H.264, H.265, and JPEG compression. The 100BASE-Tx network interface requires CAT5 cabling and an RJ-45 connector. Power can be supplied via 12 VDC, 24 VAC, or IEEE 802.3af Class 3 PoE. It is compatible with systems requiring alarm input/output and line-level audio I/O.

Installation Notes

The housing is constructed from electropolished stainless steel (AISI 316L) with an integrated sunshield, featuring a 3/4" NPT conduit entry for secure wiring. The camera's operating temperature range is -60 °C to +65 °C, and its IP66/67/68/69 and NEMA 4X/6P ratings ensure protection against dust, water jets, and immersion. Hazardous location certifications (UL, CSA, ATEX, IECEx) are critical for deployment in explosive atmospheres.
