Altronix EBRIDGE4SK IP Camera Extender Kit
Overview
The Altronix EBRIDGE4SK is a four-port IP camera extender kit designed to overcome the 100-meter Ethernet cable length limitation. It enables you to deploy IP cameras and other network devices up to 500 meters away from the head-end equipment by leveraging existing coax or CAT5 cabling infrastructure. This kit is ideal for large facilities, campuses, or legacy installations where running new Ethernet cable is cost-prohibitive or impractical. The EBRIDGE4SK consists of the EBRIDGE100SPR receiver and the EBRIDGE4SPT power distribution module.
Compatibility
This kit is compatible with any standard IP camera or network device that utilizes 10/100BaseT Ethernet. It supports standard IEEE 802.3af PoE and 802.3at PoE+ standards, allowing it to power compatible devices directly. The system functions over standard RG-59/U coax cable for up to 300 meters or CAT5/CAT5e/CAT6 structured cabling for up to 100 meters. The total combined range for the system is 500 meters.
Installation Notes
The EBRIDGE100SPR receiver operates within an extended temperature range of -40°C to 60°C, suitable for many unconditioned environments. The EBRIDGE4SPT power module operates from -40°C to 75°C. Both units require a 51-56VDC input power supply, capable of delivering up to 60W total output power, which is distributed to the four PoE-compliant RJ45 ports. Ensure the input power supply can meet the combined power demands of the connected devices. The system is UL 60950-1 compliant.
