The 18-gauge, 0.048"-thick Viking Electronics 304 stainless steel construction means the replacement is as durable as the original: corrosion-resistant, difficult to deform, and appropriate for both interior vestibules and exposed exterior door stations. Finished in black to match the E-70-BK-EWP housing.

The PNL70-BK is a direct replacement for the Viking E-70-BK-EWP Black Double-Gang Entry Phone. The E-70-BK-EWP integrates a 125 kHz proximity card reader, microphone, and speaker controls into a double-gang form factor — this faceplate is dimensioned and drilled to that exact footprint. If you are working with a different Viking door entry phone model such as the E-10A or E-20B, verify the double-gang mounting pattern before ordering, as the E-Series models use distinct form factors. This plate is not a universal fit across the full Viking entry phone line.

Installation Notes

Mounting hardware requires #6-32 x 1.25" flat-head screws driven with a 5/64" hex (Allen) wrench — have the correct driver on hand before opening the enclosure. The 304 stainless steel plate is non-ferrous and will not interfere with the 125 kHz proximity reader embedded in the E-70-BK-EWP, so card read performance is unaffected post-swap. At 0.048" material thickness, the plate maintains the original flush profile of the access control installation; no shimming or gasket adjustment should be necessary on a standard door-station rough-in.
