Overview
The Middle Atlantic FPB-B is a double gang blank plate designed to fill unused openings in wallplate and furniture panel installations. When a Middle Atlantic wallplate frame has more cutouts than active connections, leaving openings exposed creates cable management problems, dust ingress paths, and an unfinished appearance — the FPB-B closes those gaps with a flush, finished surface. It belongs in any rack room, AV credenza, or structured cabling installation where panel real estate is partially occupied and blank fill is needed to complete the faceplate.
Compatibility
The FPB-B is sized for double gang openings in Middle Atlantic rack and furniture wallplate systems. It is intended for use with Middle Atlantic's FP-series and comparable double gang wallplate frames where a blank insert is required to occupy an unused module position. Confirm the specific frame series and gang count before ordering — single gang openings require a single gang blank; this model covers double gang slots only.
Installation Notes
Insert the FPB-B into the double gang opening of the host wallplate frame and secure per the frame's retention method. No tools or additional hardware are required for the insert itself. Verify frame compatibility prior to installation — forcing a mismatched insert can damage the frame's retention clips. The blank plate provides no pass-through, connectivity, or cable routing; it is a cover only.
