This bracket solves the common deployment problem of securing compact network devices in cabinet, enclosure, and panel-mount configurations where standardized rail systems are already in place — eliminating the need for custom brackets or workarounds in telecom closets, equipment racks, and field cabinets.
Compatibility
The 170904-001 bracket supports Cradlepoint R980 and R920 Series (R9X0 designation), S700 Series (S7X0 designation), and S400 Series (S4X0 designation) routers. It mounts to standard 35mm DIN rail, making it compatible with any enclosure or cabinet that uses DIN rail track infrastructure. Do not use this bracket with other manufacturers' equipment or Cradlepoint models outside the R9X0, S7X0, and S4X0 families.
Installation Notes
The bracket assembly includes a main bracket and mounting clip that attach to the DIN rail via standard fastening. Device attachment uses four M4×4 screws (bracket-to-device) and one M3×10 screw (clip-to-bracket) — all hardware is included. Ensure the DIN rail is level and free of obstruction before installation. No power or signal connections are required; the bracket is purely mechanical. Standard hand tools (Phillips screwdriver) are sufficient for installation.
