Signal and Wiring

The 9-wire configuration supports four discrete GPIO signals (typically relay closure or sensor input), a secondary ignition sense line for vehicle-based deployments, and redundant power leads. Installation Notes

The SATA locking connector requires a compatible female GPIO port on your Cradlepoint router — do not force the connection. Secure the cable to avoid loop formation or kinks that could stress the connector. When routing through conduit or securing with tie wraps, leave 1–2 inches of slack near both connectors to prevent strain. GPIO signal wiring must not carry high-voltage lines (>48V) within the same cable sheath; if your control system uses AC or high-current relay circuits, run those in a separate shielded cable to prevent crosstalk and EMI interference.
