Overview

The Panduit STP6X30VL is a 1000-foot spool of Category 6A shielded twisted pair (S/FTP) cable in violet. This cable is designed for high-speed data transmission, supporting 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T) up to 100 meters (328 feet). Its S/FTP construction, featuring individual foil shielding on each pair and an overall braid shield, minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk, making it suitable for demanding network environments like enterprise data centers, industrial automation, and high-density surveillance deployments.

Compatibility

This cable is backward compatible with Category 6 and Category 5e standards. It is designed for use with standard RJ45 connectors and is suitable for termination into patch panels and wall plates that support Category 6A performance. It is recommended for use with Panduit's own Category 6A connectors and patch panels to ensure optimal performance and compliance with TIA-568-C.2 standards.

Installation Notes

For optimal performance, maintain a minimum bend radius of 4 times the cable diameter during installation and 8 times the cable diameter after installation. Avoid sharp bends or kinks, which can degrade signal integrity. Ensure proper grounding of the cable shield to the equipment at both ends to effectively dissipate EMI. The cable jacket is rated for general-purpose indoor use.
