Description

Hanwha FC15-006968A PNM-9000VD Dome Cover

The Hanwha FC15-006968A is the factory replacement optical dome cover for the PNM-9000VD multi-sensor camera. The PNM-9000VD is a high-resolution multi-directional dome, and its optical cover is a precision-moulded component that maintains correct image focus across all four sensors, preserves the IK vandal rating, and seals the housing against weather ingress. Substituting a generic dome will degrade image quality on every channel.

Key Features

  • Genuine Hanwha optical cover for the PNM-9000VD multi-sensor dome camera
  • Moulded clear polymer with anti-glare interior to preserve published image quality across all sensor channels
  • IK-rated impact resistance maintained when installed with OEM hardware
  • IP-rated weather sealing retained with the included gasket profile
  • Designed to preserve published IR distance and night-mode performance
  • Direct-fit replacement; no sensor recalibration required if camera body remains undisturbed
  • Restores image clarity after vandalism, scratches, or long-term UV haze

The PNM-9000VD is deployed in transit centers, school exteriors, retail centers, and parking facilities where the dome can take real abuse. Common failure modes are blunt-impact scuffing from carts and ladders, projectile chips, and gradual UV-induced surface haze in equatorial-facing mounts. Once any of these conditions develops, the whole-image MTF drops and even the camera's onboard image enhancement cannot compensate. Replacing the cover restores the camera to published specs.

Field-replacement is straightforward — loosen the security tamper screws, lift the cover, swap, and re-torque to the Hanwha service value with a fresh gasket and a new desiccant pack. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the polymer; isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth are sufficient for routine cleaning. For high-volume installers, stocking the FC15-006968A alongside the matching gasket and security driver bit keeps service calls to a single visit.
