Overview

The Comnet DINBKT1 is a DIN rail adapter plate designed to mount ComFit-sized modules onto standard 35mm DIN rails. It solves the installation problem of fitting compact Comnet modules into industrial equipment racks and control panels where DIN-rail mounting is the standard deployment infrastructure — common in ITS (intelligent transportation systems) and industrial control environments where space is tight and mounting density matters.

Compatibility

The DINBKT1 accommodates ComFit-sized modules with dimensions up to 3.73 × 3.937 × 1.062 inches or 2.508 × 3.30 × 1.062 inches. Verify your module's outline dimensions before ordering; Comnet also offers the DINBKT2 for modules with the larger 3.73 × 3.937 × 1.062-inch envelope if you need flexibility across a broader product range.

Installation Notes

The aluminum plate is fabricated with multiple sets of 6-32 PEM nut fasteners, allowing vertical or horizontal module mounting for layout flexibility. Orientation choice depends on your rack layout and cable routing — mount the module in whichever axis gives you the cleanest cable bend radius and least obstruction from adjacent equipment. The complete assembly clips directly onto any standard 35mm DIN rail; no additional rail hardware is required. Two 6-32 × 3/8" machine screws are included in the kit.
