Comelit DIN12 1 Foot DIN Rail Mount
Overview
The Comelit DIN12 is a 1-foot metal DIN rail designed to standardize mounting in control rooms, telecom cabinets, and network closets where you need to organize multiple Comelit modules on a single wall-mounted platform. DIN rails solve the problem of ad-hoc mounting: instead of bracketing each device individually, you snap compatible modules onto a single standardized rail, reducing installation time and simplifying future moves or additions. The DIN12 supports PoE+ (802.3at) power delivery, meaning you can feed power to compatible devices via standard Ethernet without running separate DC lines to each unit.
Compatibility
The DIN12 integrates with Comelit system architectures and module families that support DIN rail mounting. Confirm your specific Comelit device or module carries DIN rail mounting holes or DIN-rail-compatible brackets before ordering. If you're building out a Comelit apartment complex intercom or telecom control panel, check the device datasheet or installation guide for the DIN rail mounting designation. The rail itself is passive—it carries no logic or addresses—so any Comelit module designed for DIN mounting will seat on it, as long as the physical width (1 foot = 12 inches) accommodates the quantity and width of your modules.
Installation Notes
Wall mounting requires standard fasteners and a level surface. The metal construction provides durability in standard commercial and industrial environments indoors. IP30 rating means dust and light spray won't damage the rail or mounted components, but it is not rated for outdoor or high-moisture areas. Ensure wall anchor points are load-rated for the combined weight of the rail and all mounted modules. Position the rail at a comfortable height for service access and ensure adequate clearance behind and below for cable runs and connector breakout.
