Overview
The Comelit 1210 is a 2-wire power supply unit that feeds a SimpleBus2 external entrance panel and its support column from a single 110-240Vac input. It solves the core wiring problem on video/audio entry installs: rather than running separate power drops to the door station and the column it's mounted on, the 1210 delivers power to both over dedicated terminal pairs (L1-L1 for the external unit, L2-L2 for the column). Fits control rooms, equipment closets, or DIN-rail enclosures on multi-tenant and single-family entry system installs.
Compatibility
Confirmed compatible with Comelit audio/video entry units art. 4681 and art. 1621VC, and audio-only unit art. 1621 — all part of the Comelit SimpleBus2 building entry line. The unit includes one termination terminal for line-end resistor art. 1216, which is required at the far end of the 2-wire bus run to prevent signal reflection on longer cable pulls. Pair the 1210 with a compatible video intercom system when scoping a full building entry deployment.
Installation Notes
Input is 110-240Vac, so it accepts standard commercial mains without a step-down transformer. The enclosure measures 106x89x62mm and occupies 6 DIN modules — confirm rail space in the panel before rough-in, since undersized enclosures are the most common callback on retrofit jobs. Mount to wall or DIN rail depending on the equipment cabinet; housing ships in white to match standard entry-panel equipment. Terminate the 2-wire bus runs to L1-L1 and L2-L2 per the door station and column locations, and land the art. 1216 terminator at the last device on the bus. Review a PoE and power planning guide before finalizing conduit runs on larger installs, and check NVR or access control head-end requirements if this power supply feeds part of a larger monitored entry system.
