The Citizen DT400600P is a direct thermal label stock sized 4" wide by 6" tall, supplied as four rolls with 1,000 labels per roll (4,000 labels total). Direct thermal printing requires no ink or toner ribbon — heat-sensitive coating on the label stock darkens under the printhead, making it cost-effective for high-volume shipping, inventory, and asset-tracking workflows where speed and simplicity matter more than color. This form factor is standard for logistics operations, warehouse cross-docks, and distribution centers running barcode label cycles.
The DT400600P works with any Citizen direct thermal printer that accepts 4" x 6" media — including the CL-S series industrial label printers. Confirm your printer's maximum label length and roll width specifications before ordering; 4" x 6" is a common standard, but some models have tighter constraints. This is genuine Citizen stock, not third-party equivalent.
Direct thermal labels are sensitive to heat, light, and humidity during storage. Keep stock in a cool, dry environment (ideally 50–80°F, 35–65% relative humidity) to preserve label longevity and print contrast. Once printed, direct thermal images fade over time if exposed to sunlight or heat — if your labels must remain readable for more than 1–2 years in outdoor conditions, consider thermal-transfer alternatives instead. Load rolls into the printer following the manufacturer's spindle and guide instructions; misaligned media causes skewed barcodes and print-head friction.
