Description

Citizen CL-S700III-HETU-P Thermal Label Printer with Ethernet Remote Management and Peeler

Overview

The Citizen CL-S700III-HETU-P is a 203 DPI direct thermal and thermal transfer label printer configured with dual connectivity (USB + Ethernet) and built-in peeler — standard equipment for warehouse cross-dock operations, shipping departments, and retail receiving lines running high-volume label cycles. The Ethernet interface enables remote print queue management and firmware updates without sneaker-net trips to each device. The integrated peeler strips backing automatically, reducing manual handling on fast-paced label applications like parcel routing and inventory bin labeling.

Compatibility

The CL-S700III-HETU-P pairs with label management software supporting standard thermal printer protocols (EPL, ZPL emulation, or Windows driver print queues). The Ethernet port integrates into existing LAN infrastructure; no special switching or PoE required. Direct thermal mode (no ribbon) is compatible with any 4-inch-wide thermal label stock; thermal transfer mode requires compatible ribbon cartridges for extended durability on non-thermal media. Compatible with warehouse management systems (WMS) using SNMP or HTTP printer status polling for job tracking and low-supply alerts.

Installation Notes

Mount on a level surface or optional wall bracket (bracket sold separately). Ethernet connection uses standard RJ-45; USB is Type-B. Power draw is modest enough for standard 110/220V branch circuits — no dedicated UPS or heavy conditioning required. Set print speed and darkness via firmware (default is optimized for standard 4x6 shipping labels). Peeler blade requires periodic inspection; replace if backing strip shredding occurs after extended label runs.
