Description

Panduit UTP6AX5MYL Category 6A Patch Cord

Overview

The Panduit UTP6AX5MYL is a 5-meter (16.4 ft) Category 6A UTP patch cord designed for high-speed data transmission up to 10 Gb/s. Its solid 24 AWG construction and specific shielding limit alien crosstalk, ensuring signal integrity for demanding network applications like data center I/O consolidation and server virtualization. The tangle-free latch mechanism simplifies installation and maintenance, crucial in environments where frequent moves, adds, and changes occur. Pre-installed RapidID barcodes facilitate easy port mapping with compatible software.

Compatibility

This patch cord supports IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt (Type 3 and Type 4) Power over Ethernet applications, making it suitable for powering devices like IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones without requiring separate power supplies. It meets ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA standards, ensuring backward compatibility with lower category networks while providing headroom for future upgrades. It is wired to be compatible with both T568A and T568B wiring schemes.

Installation Notes

Constructed with a CM (Communications Multipurpose) flammability rating, this cable is suitable for in-wall or riser applications where code compliance is required. The 0.250-inch (6.4mm) diameter and solid conductor construction require careful handling to avoid kinking. The tangle-free latch design allows for quick release without damaging the connector or adjacent ports.
