Description

Panduit UTP6AX5MGY Category 6A 10 Gb/s UTP Patch Cord

Overview

The Panduit UTP6AX5MGY is a 5-meter (16.4 ft) Category 6A unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) patch cord designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet transmission. Its solid 24 AWG construction with a solid foil tape shield limits alien crosstalk, ensuring signal integrity for high-speed data networks and surveillance systems. The tangle-free latch streamlines installation and maintenance, making it suitable for structured cabling deployments in commercial environments.

Compatibility

This patch cord is engineered to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA standards, making it compatible with all Category 6A network infrastructure. It supports IEEE 802.3af (PoE), 802.3at (PoE+), and 802.3bt (PoE++) Type 3 and Type 4 power delivery up to 2500 cycles, ensuring reliable power and data for PoE-enabled devices like IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones.

Installation Notes

The cable features a 0.250-inch (6.4mm) diameter and a CM flammability rating, suitable for use in pathways and spaces requiring compliance with NEC Article 800. It is constructed with solid conductors, which offer superior performance over stranded conductors for fixed installations but are less flexible for frequent moves, adds, or changes. The integrated tangle-free latch on the RJ45 connectors simplifies disconnection and prevents cable snagging during installation or relocation.
