Description

Panduit UTP6AX4BL Category 6A 10 Gb/s UTP Patch Cord

Overview

The Panduit UTP6AX4BL is a 4-foot, black Category 6A UTP patch cord designed for high-speed data transmission, specifically supporting 10GBASE-T Ethernet. Its construction with 24 AWG solid conductors and a foil tape shield limits alien crosstalk, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments like data center I/O consolidation and server virtualization. The integrated tangle-free latch streamlines installation and maintenance, while pre-installed RapidID barcodes facilitate efficient port mapping with compatible software.

Compatibility

This patch cord is engineered to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA standards up to 500 MHz. It is wired to support both T568A and T568B schemes, offering broad compatibility with standard network infrastructure. The UTP6AX4BL is also rated to support IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt types 3 and 4 Power over Ethernet (PoE++) applications, making it suitable for powering devices like IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones without requiring separate power supplies.

Installation Notes

Constructed with a CM flammability rating, this cable is suitable for use in general building riser applications. The solid conductor design requires careful handling during termination to avoid damage, though this cord comes pre-terminated with high-performance modular plugs. The tangle-free latch design simplifies disconnection and reconnection, reducing the risk of snagging during moves, adds, or changes in dense network racks.
