Overview

The Panduit UTP6A20MVL is a 20-meter (65.6 ft) Category 6A UTP patch cord designed for high-speed data networks. It utilizes solid 24 AWG copper conductors and a CM-rated jacket, ensuring robust performance for 10 Gb/s transmission up to 500 MHz. This cord is engineered to minimize alien crosstalk, critical for maintaining signal integrity in demanding network environments. The integrated tangle-free latch mechanism simplifies installation and maintenance by preventing snags and ensuring secure, easy disconnection. Pre-installed RapidID barcodes facilitate quick port identification and network mapping.

Compatibility

This patch cord is built to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA standards, making it compatible with all Category 6A network infrastructure. It supports IEEE 802.3af (PoE), 802.3at (PoE+), and 802.3bt Type 3 & Type 4 (PoE++) power delivery standards, capable of powering devices drawing up to 90W. It is suitable for use with network switches, routers, and end devices requiring high-bandwidth, reliable connectivity, including surveillance systems, IP cameras, and wireless access points that leverage PoE technology.

Installation Notes

The cable jacket is rated CM (Communications Multipurpose), suitable for general-purpose horizontal or riser applications but not for plenum spaces. The conductor gauge is 24 AWG solid copper, which offers superior performance over stranded copper for fixed installations but is less flexible for frequent moves. The connector durability is rated for 2500 cycles, ensuring longevity in environments with regular patching or equipment changes. The tangle-free latch design requires no special tools for release, simplifying the process of moves, adds, and changes (MACs).
