Description

Panduit UTP6AX18OR Patch Cord

Overview

The Panduit UTP6AX18OR is an 18-foot Category 6A unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) patch cord designed for high-speed data transmission up to 10 Gb/s. Constructed with 24 AWG solid conductors and featuring a tangle-free latch for easy release, this cord is ideal for structured cabling deployments in enterprise networks, data centers, and industrial environments where reliable connectivity and future-proofing are critical. Its CM flammability rating makes it suitable for in-wall installations.

Compatibility

This Panduit Category 6A patch cord is engineered to exceed all ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA standards, ensuring interoperability with compatible Category 6A networking equipment and infrastructure. It is rated for 2500 cycles with IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt (Type 3 and Type 4) Power over Ethernet standards, making it suitable for powering devices like IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones without requiring separate power supplies.

Installation Notes

The UTP6AX18OR features a solid foil tape construction to limit alien crosstalk, which is crucial for maintaining signal integrity at 10 Gb/s speeds. The tangle-free latch mechanism simplifies installation and maintenance by preventing snagging during moves, adds, and changes. Pre-installed RapidID barcodes on the cable facilitate simple port mapping when used with RapidID software, streamlining network documentation and troubleshooting.
