Overview
The CX-WC13XSM is a surface-mounted AURA™ illuminated push plate enclosure designed for barrier-free restroom door control systems compliant with Ontario Regulation 368/13 and the 2012 Ontario Building Code. It integrates with networked access control installations to provide both visual feedback (LED illumination) and tactile push-button activation for automatic door strike operation. Compatibility
The CX-WC13XSM operates as part of the Camden CX-WC Series barrier-free restroom control kits. It is compatible with networked access control systems that support electric strike relays and IP-based door activation. The unit integrates with Camden's pre-wired power supply cabinets, electric strikes, control relays, and annunciator modules included in complete CX-WC kit configurations. It functions alongside Column™ switches (meeting CSA 75mm actuator width requirements) and optional touchless activation components. The illuminated enclosure pairs with door contact sensors and annunciators within the CX-WC ecosystem.
Installation Notes
Surface mounting to standard wall framing or trim. The CX-WC13XSM houses push-button switches and LED indication; wiring connects to the networked control relay cabinet via standard access control cabling. Installation must comply with barrier-free accessibility spacing standards and CSA 75mm actuator width requirements referenced in Ontario Reg. 368/13. Restroom control kits include all necessary components (power supply, controller, activation switches, annunciators, door contact, electric strike), eliminating component sourcing. Confirm strike voltage compatibility (typically 12VDC or 24VDC depending on kit configuration) before installation.
