Camden CX-WEC12-TS Emergency Call System Kit

Overview

The Camden CX-WEC12-TS Emergency Door Control Kit provides a critical signaling solution for requesting assistance. When the "PRESS FOR EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE" tape switch is activated, it illuminates an external corridor light and sounder (CM-AF141SO) to alert personnel, while simultaneously activating an internal LED annunciator (CM-AF501SO) to confirm the signal. A "PRESS TO RESET" button (CM-8010R/13) allows for system reset after assistance is rendered. This kit is designed for deployment in environments requiring immediate emergency notification, such as restrooms or patient rooms, complying with OBC Regulation 368/13, Section 3.8.3.12.

Compatibility

This kit is designed as a standalone emergency signaling system. The components within the CX-WEC12-TS are proprietary to Camden's emergency control solutions. While it can be integrated with other systems, such as Camden's Restroom Control Kits, direct compatibility with third-party access control panels or VMS is not specified. The CM-AF141SO, CM-501SO, and CM-8010R/13 components accept 12/24 VAC/VDC power input.

Installation Notes

Installation requires wiring the tape switch, push-button reset, LED annunciator, and dome light sounder to the CX-LRS24 relay assembly. Power can be supplied as 12/24 VAC or VDC; however, VDC power is recommended when integrating with Camden Restroom Control Kits to prevent the door strike from buzzing. The kit includes various wire connectors, screws, anchors, and plugs for mounting on walls or poles, and a tamperproof driver for security.
