The C2G 39870 is a single-gang wall plate designed to provide a clean, professional HDMI pass-through connection point. It's ideal for conference rooms, classrooms, or home theater installations where a direct cable connection from a source device to a display is required without visible wiring. The brushed aluminum finish offers a modern aesthetic suitable for commercial or residential environments. This plate simplifies the termination of HDMI cabling within walls, ensuring a tidy installation.
This wall plate is designed for standard single-gang electrical boxes and low-voltage mounting brackets. It functions as a passive pass-through, meaning it is compatible with any HDMI source device (e.g., laptops, media players, PCs) and any HDMI display device (e.g., monitors, projectors, TVs) that adhere to HDMI specifications. It does not require drivers or software and is universally compatible with HDMI versions up to 1.4, supporting resolutions up to 1080p.
Installation involves connecting an HDMI cable to the rear port of the wall plate and another HDMI cable to the front port, or inserting a standard HDMI cable into the front port. The plate mounts into a standard single-gang electrical box using the provided screws. Ensure proper cable management behind the wall to avoid strain on the connectors.
