Overview
The Altronix BC100RC is a 100-foot remote camera power and lock system designed to simplify the deployment of IP cameras and other surveillance devices in locations where standard power is not readily available or convenient. This unit provides 12VDC power up to 100 feet, effectively extending the reach of your power source and enabling camera placement in previously inaccessible areas. It includes a remote camera lock for secure mounting and is ideal for extending power to cameras at the end of long cable runs, such as in large warehouses, outdoor lots, or across expansive facilities. The BC100RC model specifically addresses the need for both power extension and secure camera mounting in a single, integrated solution.
Compatibility
This system is designed to work with standard 12VDC powered devices, including most IP cameras, PTZ cameras, and other low-voltage surveillance equipment that draw up to 100W. It is compatible with any system that can utilize a 12VDC power source at the camera end. The remote lock mechanism is designed for standard camera mounting interfaces.
Installation Notes
The BC100RC requires a 12VDC power source at the head-end location. The system utilizes a pair of conductors within a single cable (up to 100 feet) to transmit power to the remote device. Ensure the cable used has adequate gauge to support the current draw of the connected device over the 100-foot distance without significant voltage drop. The included remote lock mechanism requires standard mounting hardware for secure attachment to poles, walls, or other structures.
