The Axis 02412-001 is a genuine replacement front window assembly for the Axis Companion Dome WV indoor camera. This spare part restores optical clarity and environmental protection when the original dome window becomes scratched, fogged, or damaged — a critical factor because even minor window degradation scatters light and softens image sharpness, directly impacting motion detection reliability and forensic usability. The kit (model TP1802-E) includes the replacement window, seals, and fasteners needed to complete the swap without tools beyond a TORX 10 wrench.
Compatibility
The 02412-001 is engineered exclusively for the Axis Companion Dome WV camera. This is an indoor 2 MP, 1080p vandal-resistant dome that connects via wireless (802.11a/b/g/n) or wired Ethernet. If you run Companion Dome WV units — particularly in retail, corporate offices, or educational spaces where the dome is exposed to dust, accidental contact, or cleaning sprays — keep a spare window in stock. This part does not fit other Axis P-series or Q-series models.
Installation Notes
The Companion Dome WV uses captive TORX 10 screws to secure the front window assembly. Remove the four fasteners, slide out the old window and seal, and insert the new window with the supplied gasket material. Do not over-torque — the enclosure is plastic (polycarbonate dome), and the screws are designed to hand-tight-plus-a-quarter-turn. Operating environment is 0–45°C (32–113°F) with 15–85% RH. Storage is rated to −40–65°C (−40–149°F). If the window is fogged or failing, check for internal condensation before reassembly; allow the camera to dry in a warm, dry space for 24 hours if moisture is visible inside the enclosure.
