Description

APC by Schneider Electric APCRBCV201 Replacement Battery Cartridge #201

Overview

The APCRBCV201 is a factory-new replacement battery cartridge for compatible APC UPS systems. Swapping a degraded battery on a deployed UPS — rather than replacing the entire unit — keeps runtime protection in place at a fraction of the cost of a full UPS swap, and avoids reconfiguring network management cards or load segments. This cartridge is a drop-in service component: install it when runtime falls below acceptable thresholds or when APC PowerChute or the UPS self-test flags a battery fault.

Compatibility

The APCRBCV201 is designated Replacement Battery Cartridge #201. Verify compatibility against your specific UPS model number using APC by Schneider Electric's battery compatibility tool or the label on the existing cartridge before ordering — APC numbers replacement cartridges sequentially and each maps to a defined set of UPS chassis. Do not substitute based on physical size alone; cell chemistry and connector configuration must match the host unit exactly. For UPS selection guidance, review the UPS systems category to confirm the host unit before sourcing a replacement cartridge.

Installation Notes

APC replacement battery cartridges are designed for hot-swap on supported models — confirm whether your UPS supports live battery replacement before beginning. Wear appropriate PPE when handling lead-acid cells. Dispose of the spent cartridge through a certified battery recycling program; do not discard in general waste. Allow the replacement cartridge to complete a full charge cycle before relying on rated runtime.
