Overview
The ACDC2501 is a 600mm roof height adapter designed to close the vertical gap between 42U NetShelter SX enclosures and an overhead aisle containment structure. Without a properly fitted height adapter, hot-aisle or cold-aisle containment systems leak conditioned air at the roofline — defeating the thermal separation that justifies the containment investment. This adapter addresses that gap mechanically, maintaining the sealed envelope between the top of the rack and the containment canopy. At 23 lbs, it is a structural component, not a trim piece — plan for two-person installation when working at height.
Compatibility
The ACDC2501 is sized for APC NetShelter SX 42U enclosures paired with APC NetShelter aisle containment systems. The 600mm dimension corresponds to the rack width footprint of the SX series — confirm your enclosure's width before ordering, as APC produces similar adapters for 750mm and other width variants. This part does not fit NetShelter VX or non-APC third-party containment canopies without additional bridging hardware; verify frame compatibility with your containment system's documentation before procurement.
Installation Notes
Mounting position is at the top of the 42U enclosure, interfacing with the containment roof panel directly above. Coordinate installation timing with any overhead containment panel or blanking work — the adapter must be secured before the canopy panels are set. Weight of 23 lbs requires staging on a stable work platform; do not attempt single-person overhead installation. No power, cabling, or tools beyond standard data center hand tools are required.
