Overview
The AR109 is a 9U wall-mount rack enclosure designed for shallow network and security equipment deployments where floor space is unavailable — utility closets, server ante-rooms, and wiring-hub walls. The single-hinged door swings open for front access without requiring aisle clearance, and the quarter-turn lock keeps the enclosure secured against casual access. At switch depth with a 23-inch mounting width, the AR109 accommodates standard 19-inch rackmount gear on 23-inch EIA rails. Front-to-rear airflow orientation means your switch or patch panel exhausts toward the rear — plan accordingly if mounting flush to an enclosed wall. The unit ships unassembled, so verify you have the space and hardware for wall anchoring before deployment.
Compatibility
The AR109 accepts standard 19-inch EIA-310 rackmount equipment up to 9U in height, mounted on 23-inch rail centers. Compatible equipment families include PoE network switches, patch panels, small network video recorders, and 1U/2U security appliances within the enclosure's depth range. The 23-inch mounting width is suited to Cisco Catalyst compact fixed-configuration switches, Netgear ProSAFE 1U models, and APC's own APC by Schneider Electric rack PDUs designed for wall-mount enclosures. Verify equipment depth against the interior cabinet depth before ordering — switch-depth enclosures are shallower than full-depth network cabinets and will not accommodate deep chassis or high-density patch arrays.
