Overview

The AP7584 is a 2U rack-mount rack PDU designed to distribute 208V AC power to equipment in high-density data center and server room racks. It accepts a single 30A input via NEMA L14-30P and delivers up to 4,992 VA across four NEMA L6-30R outlets — enough headroom for four power-hungry servers or storage units drawing up to 20A each on a derated 24A circuit. The 28-foot cord gives you practical reach from a remote PDU panel or floor-mounted power strip without requiring a local receptacle directly behind the rack. This is a basic, non-switched unit: no per-outlet monitoring, no remote control — just reliable, passive power distribution where management overhead is unnecessary or where a managed APC by Schneider Electric unit would be over-specified for the task.

Compatibility

The AP7584 is designed for standard 19-inch EIA-310 equipment racks. The four NEMA L6-30R outlets accept any IEC or NEMA L6-30 cordset — compatible with most 208V rack-mount servers, UPS bypass panels, and network equipment using standard high-density power cords. Input draws from a NEMA L14-30P source, typically a UPS or transfer switch output with a 30A/208V L14-30 receptacle. Operating range spans 200V, 208V, and 230V at 50/60 Hz, so this unit also deploys in international rack environments where 230V single-phase distribution is standard. Verify your upstream circuit is rated for 30A and that breaker protection is in place — the AP7584 carries no internal circuit protection beyond what the upstream source provides. For deployments needing per-outlet switching or current monitoring, consider a managed PDU variant within the APC rack PDU line.

Installation Notes

Mounts in 2U of rack space using the included rack mounting brackets. Input cord is fixed at 28 feet — plan cable routing before finalizing rack position relative to the power source. Operating temperature range is 32–113°F (0–45°C) at up to 95% non-condensing humidity; storage is rated to -25°C / 65°C. Derate to 24A continuous load (80% of 30A nameplate) per NEC and standard electrical installation practice — do not run at full 30A continuously. Certifications include UL Listed, cUL Listed, and CSA C22.2 No. 107.1.
