Description

APC by Schneider Electric AP7552 Vertical 0U Rack Power Distribution Unit

Overview

The AP7552 is a 0U vertical rack-mount PDU delivering 230V power across 24 outlets from a single IEC 60320 C20 input. Designed to mount in the vertical channel of a standard 19-inch rack cabinet, it keeps horizontal rack space free for active equipment — a practical choice in high-density deployments where every rack unit counts. At 63.74 inches tall and just 2.20 inches wide, the AP7552 fits the side rail of most standard two-post and four-post racks without occupying 1U of equipment space. The 10-foot power cord provides reach to overhead or floor-level PDPs without extension cables. Operating at 50/60 Hz, it suits both North American and international 230V infrastructure.

Compatibility

The AP7552 is designed for standard 19-inch rack cabinets that include a vertical mounting channel — common in APC NetShelter SX, SV, and VX enclosures, as well as compatible third-party racks with 0U vertical PDU mounting provisions. The IEC 60320 C20 plug connects to any C19/C20-rated power source, breaker panel outlet, or upstream PDU with a C19 socket. The 24 outlets support standard IEC 60320 C13 equipment cords, making it compatible with the majority of 1U and 2U rack servers, network switches, NVRs, storage arrays, and similar data center or security infrastructure equipment drawing power via C13 connectors.

Installation Notes

Mount vertically in the dedicated 0U channel of the rack enclosure — do not attempt horizontal 1U installation, as the unit is dimensioned exclusively for vertical placement. Confirm the upstream circuit is rated for the aggregate load across all 24 outlets before commissioning; the C20 input is rated for the PDU's full 230V feed. The 10-foot cord length should be measured against actual rack position and panel location before installation to avoid cord strain.
