Overview

The Altronix T2MTT8K1 is a compact, rack-mountable 8-port Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector designed to simplify network infrastructure by delivering both data and power over a single Ethernet cable. This unit is ideal for deploying multiple IP cameras, wireless access points, or other PoE-enabled devices in locations where traditional power outlets are scarce or inconvenient. It consolidates power delivery, reducing cable clutter and installation complexity for surveillance systems.

Compatibility

This injector is compatible with any IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE-powered device (PD), including most standard IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points. It is designed to work with standard Ethernet switches and routers that provide data connectivity but lack PoE output. Specifically, it supports devices requiring up to 15.4W of power per port.

Installation Notes

The T2MTT8K1 requires a standard AC power input (100-240VAC, 50/60Hz) via the included IEC C14 power cord. Each of the eight RJ45 data ports accepts a standard Ethernet cable from your network switch, and the corresponding PoE output ports deliver both data and power to your connected devices. Ensure the total power draw of all connected devices does not exceed the unit's capacity. The unit can be rack-mounted using the included hardware or used as a standalone desktop unit.
