Overview
The AddOn ADD-MPOMPO-40M5OM4 is a 40-meter, 12-strand, OM4 multimode fiber optic patch cable designed for high-speed network connections. It features MPO/UPC female connectors on both ends and an Aqua OFNR (riser-rated) jacket, making it suitable for in-wall installations within commercial buildings. This cable facilitates 100 Gbit/s data transmission, essential for demanding data center and enterprise backbone applications.
Compatibility
This patch cable is engineered to connect network devices with MPO/UPC female ports. It is compatible with patch panels, hubs, switches, media converters, routers, and other network equipment requiring MPO connectivity. The OM4 fiber specification ensures compatibility with 40GbE and 100GbE interfaces, and is backward compatible with 10GbE links where MPO is utilized.
Installation Notes
The OFNR (Riser-Rated) jacket is designed for vertical runs between floors in commercial buildings. Ensure proper cable management to avoid sharp bends, which can degrade performance.
