Overview
The StarTech C6CROSSOVER is a compact, stranded copper RJ45 crossover adapter designed to directly connect two similar network devices, such as two computers or two switches, without requiring an intermediary hub or switch. This adapter is useful for direct peer-to-peer network connections or troubleshooting scenarios where a standard patch cable would not establish a link. The 1.8-inch length ensures minimal cable clutter in tight installations.
Compatibility
This adapter is compatible with any standard RJ45 Ethernet network devices that require a crossover connection for direct communication. It functions with standard 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet networks. Use this adapter when connecting two network devices of the same type directly, such as PC to PC, switch to switch, or router to router, bypassing the need for a crossover cable.
Installation Notes
The adapter features stranded copper conductors within a PVC jacket, offering flexibility and durability for its intended use. Simply plug an RJ45 connector from one network device into one end of the adapter, and an RJ45 connector from the other network device into the other end. The adapter internally re-wires the transmit and receive pairs to facilitate the crossover connection.
