Overview

The Panduit FZ8RP7NUSQNF017 is a high-density, 8-fiber OM4 MPO-to-LC uniboot fiber optic cable assembly. This cable is engineered for efficient use in data center and enterprise backbone applications, simplifying cable management with its uniboot design which consolidates two fibers into a single cable jacket. This reduces the number of individual cables and connectors, improving airflow and density in racks.

Compatibility

This cable is designed for use with standard MPO/MTP interfaces on transceivers and patch panels, and LC connectors for equipment ports. It is suitable for high-speed network infrastructure supporting 10GbE, 40GbE, and 100GbE applications where OM4 performance is specified. Specifically, it is compatible with Panduit's Quick-Connect™ MPO systems and other industry-standard fiber optic equipment requiring an 8-fiber (4 duplex pairs) connection.

Installation Notes

The uniboot design features push-pull tab connectors for easy insertion and removal, even in dense configurations. Ensure the correct polarity (Type A, B, or C) is maintained between the MPO and LC ends based on your network configuration. The cable jacket is LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) rated, suitable for plenum spaces where fire safety is a concern. Bend radius should be maintained at a minimum of 20mm during installation to prevent signal degradation.
