Description

Speco Technologies D8WHU2TB 8-Channel Wall Mount DVR

Overview

The Speco Technologies D8WHU2TB is an 8-channel hybrid DVR with 2TB onboard storage, designed for wall-mounted deployment in small to medium commercial surveillance installations. This unit records analog and digital signals on a single platform, eliminating the need to run separate analog and IP infrastructure in retrofit or mixed-signal environments. The wall mount form factor saves rack space and fits above-door or corridor mounting typical in retail, light industrial, or office settings where floor or ceiling racks aren't available.

Compatibility

The D8WHU2TB supports analog composite video (CVBS) inputs and hybrid connectivity, making it compatible with existing analog camera deployments as well as IP cameras via ONVIF-compatible network integration. It functions as a standalone recorder or integrates into larger Speco surveillance systems. Confirm analog camera signal types (BNC connectors, standard NTSC/PAL) and IP camera ONVIF compliance before ordering. Wall mounting requires standard 19-inch bracket hardware or direct stud mounting; verify wall load capacity for the unit plus drives before installation.

Installation Notes

Requires 110–240V AC power input; confirm local outlet availability at mount point. Network connectivity is via standard RJ-45 Ethernet for IP camera integration and remote access. Wall mounting should be into studs or structural backing rated for approximately 20–30 lbs (unit weight varies with storage configuration). Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to avoid thermal throttling during continuous recording. All connections (power, network, video coax) should be secured and routed away from high-traffic areas to prevent damage.
