Overview

The StarTech N6PAT7GRS is a 7-foot gray, snagless Cat6 Ethernet cable designed for high-bandwidth, high-power applications. Its slim 0.1-inch (3.6 mm) outer diameter and stranded 28 AWG copper conductors make it ideal for dense network racks and tight installations where standard bulkier cables are impractical. This cable supports up to 10 Gbps data transfer rates and is rated for 100W PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt Type 4), ensuring sufficient power delivery for demanding devices like high-performance IP cameras, wireless access points, or VoIP phones without requiring separate power injectors. The Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket provides enhanced safety in environments where fire safety is critical.

Compatibility

This Cat6 cable is backward compatible with Cat5e and Cat5 networks, but to achieve its rated 250 MHz performance and 10 Gbps speeds, it must be terminated with Cat6 or higher rated connectors and used with network devices supporting these specifications. It is suitable for connecting servers, workstations, switches, routers, and PoE-powered devices in commercial, industrial, or data center environments.
