Overview

The Panduit UTP28SP7VL is a 7-foot Category 6 unshielded, twisted-pair, stranded patch cord designed for reliable data transmission. Its compact 28 AWG diameter simplifies cable management in dense network racks, while the violet color aids in visual identification for specific network segments or applications. This cord is constructed with a CM/LSZH (Communications Multipurpose/Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket, meeting flammability standards for use in plenum spaces and environments where smoke emission is a concern. It is 100% performance tested for wire map, NEXT, and return loss, ensuring it meets or exceeds ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6 standards.

Compatibility

This patch cord is engineered for standard Ethernet applications, supporting 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet) and 100BASE-T (Fast Ethernet). It is also backward compatible with ATM applications up to 1.2 Gb/s and suitable for digital video, voice/data systems, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) deployments. Furthermore, it supports IEEE 802.3af/802.3at PoE applications (up to 48 cables in a bundle) and is rated for 802.3bt types 3 and 4 PoE applications (up to 24 cables in a bundle), ensuring sufficient power delivery for connected devices without overheating.
