Overview

The StarTech NLBL-75F-CAT6A-PATCH is a 75-foot, blue, snagless Cat6a Ethernet patch cable designed for high-bandwidth, high-power network deployments. It supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet speeds and up to 100W of PoE++ power, making it suitable for powering demanding network devices like high-performance wireless access points, PTZ cameras, or VoIP phones without requiring a separate power source. The cable's construction minimizes interference and signal loss, ensuring reliable data transmission in environments where network performance is critical. This cable is ideal for connecting network devices in server rooms, offices, or industrial settings where robust connectivity is a requirement.

Compatibility

This Cat6a cable is backward compatible with Cat5e and Cat6 networks, but is optimized for Cat6a infrastructure to achieve its full 10Gbps performance up to 100 meters. It is compatible with any standard RJ45 network port found on routers, switches, servers, network attached storage (NAS) devices, and endpoint devices such as computers, IP cameras, and wireless access points. The 100W PoE++ support makes it compatible with IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 and Type 4 compliant devices that draw up to 100W of power.

Installation Notes

The cable features snagless RJ45 connectors to protect the locking tabs during installation and removal, preventing accidental disconnections. The 27AWG stranded copper conductors offer flexibility, while the S/FTP (Shielded/Foiled Twisted Pair) construction, featuring aluminum-mylar foil and a braided shield, provides superior protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk. The Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket material is designed to emit minimal smoke and no toxic halogenated compounds when exposed to fire, making it suitable for installations in plenum spaces or areas with strict fire safety regulations.
