Overview

The Altronix NETWAY5ABK is a compact 5-port, 10/100Mbps Ethernet switch designed to deliver both network connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE+) to multiple devices. This unit is specifically engineered for surveillance and access control deployments where a centralized power and data solution is required for a small cluster of devices, such as IP cameras or electronic door controllers. The NETWAY5ABK simplifies installation by consolidating power and data over a single Ethernet cable run to each endpoint.

Compatibility

This switch is compatible with any standard IEEE 802.3af/at PoE-compliant devices. It is suitable for powering and connecting IP cameras, IP phones, wireless access points, and electronic access control modules that draw power via PoE. The 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports ensure compatibility with most standard IP surveillance cameras and access control systems.

Installation Notes

The NETWAY5ABK requires a 12-24VDC power input (not included) to operate. It provides PoE+ (802.3at) output on four of its ports, capable of delivering up to 30W per port, with a total PoE power budget of 60W. The unit features an integrated battery backup feature, allowing for continued operation during power outages when a backup battery is installed (battery not included). Ensure the input power supply and any installed battery meet the total power requirements of the switch and all connected PoE devices.
