Description

Comnet PSU-R-480 480W DIN Rail Power Supply

Overview

The Comnet PSU-R-480 is a 480W DIN rail-mounted power supply purpose-built for rugged surveillance and network appliances. It delivers 200W of PoE output capacity — enough to field multiple high-power edge devices (encoders, managed switches, or secondary NVRs) on a single rail-mounted unit. DIN rail installation means fast commissioning in telecom racks, equipment cabinets, or industrial enclosures without custom brackets or panel cutouts.

Compatibility

The PSU-R-480 works with surveillance appliances and edge computing devices that require standard industrial power distribution and secondary PoE injection. It pairs well with managed switches, remote NVRs, fiber converters, and multi-camera encoder stations in rack or cabinet deployments. Confirm your appliance accepts standard 480W input and PoE-in specs before deployment.

Installation Notes

DIN rail mounting is standard on this unit — no special tools required beyond a DIN clip or rail adapter if not already installed in your cabinet. Verify your enclosure has adequate ventilation; industrial power supplies generate heat under full load. Wire input and PoE output according to your local electrical code and UPS/battery backup configuration if applicable. The 200W PoE budget means you cannot run all 480W as PoE simultaneously — budget 200W for PoE devices and the remaining 280W for appliance DC power or other rail-mounted loads.
