Overview

The Vertiv 7208-EHD is a set of four locking heavy-duty casters designed to add floor mobility to Vertiv server and network cabinets. This kit allows repositioning of fully loaded racks during installation, maintenance, or data center reconfiguration — eliminating the need to unload equipment before moving a cabinet short distances across raised floors or finished concrete. Once positioned, the locking mechanism on each caster holds the cabinet in place to prevent unintended drift.

Compatibility

Designed for Vertiv cabinets with a base width of 24" or 29"/30"/32" and height options spanning 30", 48", 60", 72", 79", 84", 91", and 98" — covering the full height range of the Vertiv VR, VX, and VS series rack enclosures. Verify your cabinet base footprint before ordering; caster mounting patterns are not universal across enclosure lines.

Installation Notes

Four casters are included per kit (1x 7208-EHD = complete set). Casters attach to the cabinet base frame; consult the cabinet's installation guide for the correct mounting bolt pattern and torque specification.
