Description

Middle Atlantic TD3 3U Rackmount Steel Drawer

Overview

The Middle Atlantic TD3 is a 3U (5.25 in) steel rackmount drawer designed for storing loose equipment, tools, media, or cable management components inside standard 19-inch equipment racks. The TD3 ships in a textured black powder coat finish that matches typical rack enclosures and withstands daily handling without showing wear. At a 15.45-inch interior depth, it accommodates most small devices, patch panels, or documentation without overhanging the rack rail. UL-rated at 50 lbs, it handles real workloads — not just light miscellany. No lock is included, so factor that in if the rack is in a shared or unsecured space.

Compatibility

Fits any standard 19-inch equipment rack with 3U of open vertical space and at least 15.5 inches of usable interior depth. Two-point mounting attaches directly to rack rails — compatible with Middle Atlantic rack enclosures and any EIA-310 compliant rack frame from other manufacturers. Suitable for integration alongside PoE network switches, patch panels, and cable management accessories commonly deployed in security system head-end racks. Consult your rack's depth specification before ordering; shallow-depth wall-mount enclosures under 18 inches total depth may not clear the drawer slide hardware.

Installation Notes

Mounts to two rack-rail positions (front rail only) using standard rack screws — no cage nuts included per available evidence, verify your rack's rail type before installation. Product weight is 12.31 lbs; plan rack-load distribution accordingly when adding 50 lbs of loaded drawer to a populated enclosure. Shipping weight of 17.88 lbs accounts for packaging; actual installed weight is 12.31 lbs unloaded.
