Overview

The Altronix NETWAYSP3B is a 3-port fiber media converter designed to extend Ethernet network connectivity over fiber optic cable for distances up to 20km. This unit is critical for deploying surveillance cameras or other IP devices in remote locations where standard Ethernet cable runs are insufficient. It effectively bridges the gap between copper-based Ethernet networks and the longer reach of fiber, ensuring reliable data transmission for demanding video surveillance backbones.

Compatibility

This media converter is compatible with standard IEEE 802.3af/at PoE devices. It functions as a transparent bridge, supporting all network protocols and data rates up to 10/100 Mbps. Installation Notes

The NETWAYSP3B requires a 12VDC to 48VDC power input, which is not included. The unit is designed for managed environments and does not require configuration, simplifying deployment.
