Description

Comnet C-CMA-2U Cable Management Arm

Overview

The Comnet C-CMA-2U is a 2U rack-mounted cable management arm purpose-built for Comnet Core A8, V8, V12, and V14 recorder systems. This steel-construction arm mounts directly into your equipment rack and organizes video, audio, and network cabling behind or alongside your recorder without kinking, crushing, or creating maintenance bottlenecks. In installations where you're running multiple coax, UTP, and power feeds to a central recorder, cable routing becomes a real problem — tight bundles fail connectors, tangled feeds make troubleshooting impossible, and sagging cables block airflow. The C-CMA-2U solves this by giving every cable its own channel and keeping tension consistent across the run.

Compatibility

The C-CMA-2U is designed for integration with Comnet Core series recorders: Core A8, Core V8, Core V12, and Core V14. These are modular multi-channel recorders typically deployed in small-to-mid-scale surveillance installations where you're managing 8 to 14 camera feeds into a single chassis. The arm fits within standard 19-inch equipment racks and occupies 2U of vertical space, making it ideal for installations where your Core recorder is mounted in an existing switch, patch panel, or UPS rack stack.

Installation Notes

The C-CMA-2U features fully adjustable routing arms, allowing you to configure cable paths to match your specific connection layout — whether your feeds come from the rear, side-entry, or pass-through. Because it's integrated into a standard rack environment, ensure adequate airflow around the recorder and that cable routing does not restrict ventilation louvers. Mounting hardware is rack-standard; no specialized tools are required beyond a Phillips screwdriver for bracket attachment.
