Overview

The Panduit UTP28SP2BL is a 2-foot, Cat 6 UTP patch cord designed for high-density network installations. Its 28 AWG stranded copper construction and compact 0.150-inch diameter simplify cable management in racks and cabinets. The integrated tangle-free latch ensures secure connections and easy release, streamlining moves, adds, and changes. This cord is suitable for data, voice, and video applications, including VoIP and 10GBASE-T Ethernet over limited distances.

Compatibility

This patch cord supports IEEE 802.3af/802.3at and 802.3bt types 3 and 4 Power over Ethernet (PoE++) applications. It is wired to be compatible with both T568A and T568B wiring schemes, ensuring broad compatibility with standard network infrastructure. It meets or exceeds ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6 and ISO 11801 Class E standards for frequencies up to 250 MHz.

Installation Notes

The patented tangle-free latch prevents snagging during installation and disconnection. Its 28 AWG construction allows for tighter bend radii than larger gauge cables, facilitating easier routing in crowded patch panels and cable management systems. The cord features pre-installed RapidID barcodes for simplified port mapping with compatible RapidID software.
