Description

Middle Atlantic ERK-2120LRD Standalone Rack Frame

Overview

The Middle Atlantic ERK-2120LRD is a 21 rack unit (RU) standalone rack frame designed for commercial AV and IT deployments where seismic rating and substantial load capacity are critical. It provides a stable, open-frame structure for mounting network switches, NVRs, patch panels, and other rack-mountable equipment in environments requiring compliance with seismic load standards. This frame-only configuration allows for maximum customization and airflow, suitable for server rooms, network closets, or AV control suites.

Compatibility

This rack frame is compatible with standard 19-inch wide rack-mountable equipment. It utilizes 10-32 tapped rack rails, which is a common standard for many network and AV devices. The frame itself is designed for use with seismic bracing systems (sold separately) to meet specific code requirements. It is TAA compliant, making it suitable for government and federal installations.

Installation Notes

The ERK-2120LRD features a steel construction with a durable black wrinkle powder coat finish. It has a total width of 22 inches and a depth of 20 inches, with a usable depth of 18.47 inches. The frame supports a static load capacity of 2500 lbs (1,134 kg) and meets seismic load requirements when properly braced. Rack mounting screws and cage nuts are required for equipment installation (not included). This unit ships flat for easier transport and storage prior to assembly.
