Overview

The Middle Atlantic BRK28-22 is a 28-rack-unit, 22-inch-deep freestanding wood rack built for AV equipment rooms, security head-end closets, and structured wiring enclosures where a metal open-frame rack would look out of place. The knockdown design ships flat and assembles on-site — useful when access is tight and a fully assembled rack won't clear a doorway or stairwell. Black wood grain melamine finish blends into finished-space installs without requiring a separate enclosure cabinet. At 250 lbs rated capacity, the BRK28-22 handles NVR chassis, UPS units, amplifiers, and patch panels in the same bay. Standard 10-32 threaded rails accept virtually any rack-mount gear without sourcing specialty hardware.

Compatibility

10-32 tapped rails are the commercial standard and accept rack-mount equipment from Middle Atlantic and virtually every other vendor — NVRs, DVRs, patch panels, power strips, UPS units, and audio/video equipment. The 21.5-inch usable depth accommodates most 1U–4U network video recorders and server chassis without shelf extenders. The 28 RU of usable space (49 inches usable height) supports mixed security and AV builds: a typical deployment might stack a 4U NVR, a 2U UPS, a 1U PoE switch, and a patch panel with room to spare. Verify your deepest component against the 21.5-inch usable depth — 2-post-style deep servers or extended chassis may require an adjustable rail kit.
