The Middle Atlantic U2-RP6 is a 2U, 19-inch universal utility rackshelf sold in a self-merchandising display box of six units — purpose-built for integrators equipping multiple racks or staging a lab where you need consistent, non-vented shelves across every bay. At 14.43 inches of usable depth and a UL-rated 50 lb load capacity, the U2-RP6 handles AV receivers, small UPS units, cable managers, and similar mid-weight rack gear without engineering a mounting solution from scratch. Buying six at once reduces per-unit cost and keeps spare hardware on the shelf for service calls.

Compatibility

Fits any standard 19-inch EIA-310 rack or enclosure with 2U of open space — compatible with Middle Atlantic rack frames and enclosures (ERK, PD, RK, and WRK series) as well as third-party 19-inch open-frame and enclosed racks from Tripp Lite, Startech, and equivalent vendors. The 19-inch width and two front mounting points follow EIA-310-D, so it drops into virtually any compliant rack without adapter hardware. Confirm your rack's internal usable depth exceeds 14.55 inches before ordering — the shelf occupies the full depth and leaves no rear clearance for its own fastening hardware beyond the front ears.

Installation Notes

Mounts at two points on the front rack rails only — no rear rail support included or required for loads within the 50 lb UL rating. Non-vented steel deck: do not use for active network equipment or anything requiring airflow through the shelf surface. Shipping weight for the six-unit carton is 48 lbs; plan for two-person handling when moving the full display box. Width is fixed at 19 inches — not adjustable and not compatible with 23-inch relay rack formats.
